Jon Schendel

Instructor

Jon is our primary instructor at our Imperial Valley College Site in El Centro, CA. He also teaches at our San Marcos location occasionally. Here are what students had to say about him:

He was very informative and knowledgeable in the subjects being taught.  He was very nice and respectful towards all of the students. Also had a good attitude which made the class very fun, enjoyable, and interesting. He is an excellent instructor that has the perfect mindset of a great teacher. He had a lot to cover in a short amount of time, but he managed the class instruction and the range instruction perfectly. I really enjoyed him as an instructor, he knows his stuff. He kept the class fun even when it seemed long it was right on time. Awesome class! It was the most remarkable time I have ever had with an instructor like him. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone I know and to any rider who wants to expand their knowledge towards riding a motorcycle safely. Thank you :)

Knowledgeable and experienced rider shows in his teaching style! Extremely professional, patient, and encouraging. Attentive to the weaknesses of each student and provided specific feedback for improvement. Understanding and caring for the students. Absolutely awesome instructor. Gave great information and showed the patience need to deal with new riders. Uses his experience to bring a perfect level of street credibility to the class. His experience is way beyond anything any student in the class would ever have. He rocks! He showed a level of professionalism and patience. Took care to assist each student at their level of need. If someone became discouraged or frustrated, he would be patient and take the time (on their break time) to help catch that rider back up with the class.

Understanding and caring for the students. Great instructor. Patient with clear instructions. Very understanding of our beginning inexperienced levels. I had a positive experience due to the instructors abilities to deliver information in the classroom environment as well as practical demonstrations. Information = power = confidence. I kept forgetting he was 2 years younger than me; he just taught so well. Very hands on, open, and leaves room to ask questions. Extremely polite and easy going.
